After more than a year of blogging and discovering new sneaker blogs, we thought it would be a nice idea to introduce you to some of our favourites. Some have become friends of sivasdescalzo over the course of the year, and we thought to share some of their insights with you!
This is the first from our sneaker blogger interview series, starting with Ray from Pisadas. Originating from Seville, Pisadas has nothing to do with your average sneaker head blog. His distinctly classic style makes him lean towards dressier models, favouring sensible sneakers at often very reasonable prices.
Interview with Pisadas
svd: How long have you been blogging for?
P: 3 years
Why did you start a blog?
I had wanted to start a blog for a while, and was hesitating between writing about gastronomy and sneakers, but finally my love for shoes prevailed.
What’s your favourite pair of sneakers of all time?
Air Walk One 1 2007 in brown / organce / mustard. I had the originals as a kid, so when they were reissued in 2007 I started looking for that colourway. I finally found them, let’s just say it was a happy day for me.
How many pairs do you own?
Over 30 pairs.
Describe your sneaker collection.
I wear most of the sneakers I own on a daily basis. There are a few pairs stored away that I’ll surely bring back one day.
What do your sneakers say about you?
I have a classic style, and I can wear them to work. I try looking for sneakers I can wear everyday.
Tell us something about yourself that could surprise people.
I’m an amazing cook! I have many specialties, but crowd favourites are my Iberic ham canelloni, as well as my chickpeas with lobster dish.
(I think we may need to a follow up interview for the recipes!)
What music have you been listening to lately?
I love Spanish Indie rock, like Niños mutantes and their last single “Naufrago“.
What is your favourite sneaker from sivasdescalzo this season?
le coq sportif Provençale Mid Lea Premium
Thanks for sharing!
