With under a week left of Olympic Games, it’s no wonder Nike has chosen to re-release a 1982 classic with the patriotic “Medal Stand” theme. The brand’s home country is once again dominating the medal count along with China, having wowed the world with their athletic feats. The Nike Air Force 1 Low Max Air “Medal Stand” celebrates just this, paying tribute to U.S. Olympians as well as the 30th anniversary of the iconic Nike Air Force 1 sneaker.
The limited edition Quickstrike shoe features an obsidian leather and suede upper, accented by white on the swoosh, tongue badge, heel branding and upper eyelet. The sneaker oozes American pride throughout: the tongue spells “The United States of America”, and sock liner features “Home of the Brave” and “Land of the Free” inscriptions. The shoe is lined with premium leather and finishes off with a banging transparent Max Air sole.
Don’t be mislead by the propaganda, this IS a sneaker worthy of the best Olympians.
